A day on the cape

My favorite place to be is Cape Cod. I’ve been going with my family since I was born. Now it’s become a great getaway for me and Craig. Every chance we get we like to spend our long weekends and special occasions there.

My good friend Amanda has also been visiting the cape since before she can remember. A few weeks ago she asked me if I would want to drive around with her and document some of her favorite locations. Of course I jumped at the chance. I’ve been wanting to do this forever and to do it with such a great friend was so exciting. We started near the cottage her family has in Dennisport. We visited Mayflower Beach, Sundae School and other beautiful spots.

Amanda and I have a new favorite Cape hobby too, Antiquing! Earlier this summer she spent the day with me finding antique silver scoops for the candy bar we are having at our wedding. (She found an amazing chest for her new home too) This time around, we found some amazing upholstered chairs for an upcoming bridal shoot! Can’t wait to share them with everyone!

Here are a few of the photos from the day on the Cape. Amanda was a good sport and modeled a little for me too!

  • The castles are perfect! Did you make them for the shoot!? I know you’re crafty ladies. My fav is Amanda holding the…spikey thingy. Crab? Seahorse? I’m not a Cape regular ;)

Thanks Janel! We actually found them pre-made for us. It was a whole castle village, exactly how you picture one to look.

I must say the apple pie sundaes were just delish! warm apples, vanilla ice cream and real whipped cream–mmmmm.
