Craig and I were lucky enough to travel to North & South Carolina for Leila and Joshua’s wedding on May 16th. Leila and Joshua were so sweet and showed us plenty of southern hospitality.

The weather was beautiful, even though there was a threat of rain over the weekend. The wedding ceremony was held at Green River Plantation in Rutherfordton, NC. The grounds were beautiful and with the rain earlier in the week all the foliage was as green as it could get!

The reception was held at the Cherokee National Golf and Recreation Club. Henry and Pete Transou, the paternal grandparents of the bride, moved to Gaffney in the early 60’s and became one of the founding member of this beautiful course. They managed Cherokee National from 1964 - 1995. The majority of Leila’s childhood was spent riding bikes on the cart path and hanging out at the pool.

We had so much fun meeting the couples’ family and friends and loved the opportunity to travel!
