Melissa and Andrew were our last wedding for 2009. The day started with the preparation at Hotel Commonwealth where we did a First Look series. We really enjoy when couples take part in this before the wedding. Weddings are so emotional and this is a wonderful way to spend that first moment seeing each other in a quiet spot while having the time together before the ceremony.

After the ceremony at Our Lady Help of Christians Parish (Newton) we headed to The Castle at Boston University. We’ve photographed here before and each time love it more and more. It’s such a wonderful spot for an intimate evening.

We had been talking with Melissa leading up to the wedding and she let us in on a little secret. She would be singing and performing “Fever” to her new hubby with the help of her band and backup dancers (bridal party). Andrew had no idea this was coming. We knew it was almost time when we saw the boas coming out. Her performance was amazing! It was definitely one of the wedding highlights of 2009. It’s so amazing when you can see the passion between a couple and you could see and hear it when Melissa performed. Great job girl!
